Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio could be included in the starting eleven for tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with Liverpool.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 33-year-old could come in for Stefan de Vrij in defense, though the Dutchman is still favourite to start.

De Vrij has not been in good form for the Nerazzurri in recent weeks, with his performance against Napoli not up to his usual standard in particular.

Coach Simone Inzaghi could decide to reshuffle his defense and include D’Ambrosio on the right, dropping de Vrij to the bench for the Champions League clash with the Reds.

However, for the moment at least it is still likelier that the coach will continue to put his faith in de Vrij to start the round of sixteen match, as he is still seen as the main starter at the heart of the Nerazzurri’s backline.
