Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has provided confirmation that things are moving along well in the club’s contract extension talks with midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

Speaking to reporters from Calciomercato.com, the executive emphasized that there are no issues with the midfielder’s talks on a new deal.

Inter have yet to put the finishing touches on a new deal for Brozovic, but the talks are widely reported to be down to the details, and the club could hope to have it wrapped up very soon.

Securing the 29-year-old’s future is a major priority for the Nerazzurri due to his importance to the team on the pitch and the interest in him from a number of top clubs around Europe.

Brozovic’s current deal expires at the end of June, but the club are widely reported to be close to agreeing a new one that will keep him at the club for seasons to come.

Marotta was asked about the talks, and simply responded that “Everything is going well.”
