Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has said that Inter should be congratulated for the way they played against Liverpool in the Champions League, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during his press conference ahead of the match against Torino on Friday night, via FCInternews, Max Allegri showed how impressed he was with Inter despite the fact that they lost 2-0 at home to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.

“We must congratulate Inter for how they played. They faced a team that was better at managing the match in the Champions League and with more experience.”

Inter played very well for around 75 minutes but they did not manage to capitalise on their good performance and missed a handful of presentable chances.

The strength of Liverpool’s bench then meant that Roberto Firmino headed in from a corner with 15 minutes to go. Inter did not react well to the goal and Simone Inzaghi was not able to change proceedings with his bench.

Mohamed Salah added a second for Liverpool in the 82nd minute which now means Inter must win at Anfield in order to go through.
