Inter have had their appeal regarding Alessandro Bastoni’s suspension rejected ahead of the Sassuolo match on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInternews, Inter will be without Alessandro Bastoni for the match at home to Sassuolo on Wednesday evening after the appeal from the club to have the defender’s ban reduced to one match was rejected by the FIGC.

Alessandro Bastoni was suspended for two games after an altercation with the officials at the very end of the Derby della Madonnina almost two weeks ago.

He served the first match ban against Napoli even though he was injured and unable to play regardless, but Inter were optimistic that they could get the second game turned into a fine instead so he could face Sassuolo.

Simone Inzaghi will now be without both Alessandro Bastoni and Marcelo Brozovic for the match through suspension.
