Milan Skriniar has made it clear to Inter that he is ready to renew his contract and stay at the club beyond 2023 when his current deal runs out, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has told the player that once the contract discussions with Samir Handanovic and Ivan Perisic have been concluded, he will then be holding talks over a new deal for the Slovakian defender.

It has never been a doubt that Milan Skriniar wants to stay at the club and continue to fight for trophies. He is popular amongst the fans and Simone Inzaghi clearly likes having him in the starting eleven at every opportunity.

It will likely take a month or so to get into any detailed negotiations but there is clearly a willingness from both sides to continue together beyond the end of his current deal.
