Inter will target Lille striker Jonathan David should Lautaro Martinez be sold during the summer transfer window.
This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that Martinez could be allowed to leave during the summer window, and that the 22-year-old would be the first choice to replace him.
Martinez stayed at Inter last summer despite the interest of a number of top European clubs, and signed a contract extension until the end of June 2026 in the fall.
Despite this, the Argentine still has a number of suitors, with Liverpool emerging as one of the teams with the strongest interest in bringing him in.
The Nerazzurri would not stand in the way of a potential sale of the 24-year-old, and should he go then David would be their priority target.
The Canadian’s form at Lille this campaign has also made him a target for the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Borussia Dortmund, but Inter would be ready to move for him.
