Inter President Steven Zhang wants to keep coach Simone Inzaghi happy and calm amid the team’s massive period in the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the President is in regular contact with the coach and is emphasizing staying on course, and that he is pleased with the work already done.

Inzaghi has guided the Nerazzurri to the Champions League knockout rounds for the first time in a decade, and also kept them as frontrunners in the Serie A title race, all despite the team’s summer of transfer market upheaval.

Zhang is completely happy with the work that the former Lazio boss has done with this team, and has been sure to always express his faith in the coach.

Moreover, it is expected that the coach’s contract will soon be extended from the end of June 2023 until the end of June 2025, and that his salary will be raised from €4.5 million net per season to €5 million net plus bonuses, to reward his work so far.
