Inter captain Samir Handanovic looks likely to sign a contract extension with the Nerazzurri, whilst the situation of wingback Ivan Perisic looks more up in the air.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri plan to move on to contract talks with the pair now that the extension of Marcelo Brozovic is out of the way.

The indications for Handanovic are that he will sign an extension that will take him past the end of June of this year, when his current deal expires.

Meanwhile, it is less clear how the talks with Perisic are likely to end up.

A few months ago the 33-year-old looked destined to depart at the end of his current contract, but now he appears more open to signing a new deal, and it will remain to be seen whether this is the case.

The situation of defender Stefan de Vrij is similar, Sky reports, with the Dutchman’s current deal expiring at the end of June 2023 and little clarity on what his future will be.
