Inter defender Milan Skriniar was named as the Slovak footballer of the year, with the award reflecting an excellent season for both club and country.

The 27-year-old won the Scudetto last season with the Nerazzurri and helped the team keep in the hunt this time around and qualify for the Champions League knockout rounds, whilst he was one of his national side’s outstanding performers at the Euros.

The club congratulated Skriniar on the accolade on their official Instagram account.
