Legendary Turkey captain has called time on his international career now that he and his teammates have not managed to qualify for this year’s World Cup.
The striker and his teammates lost 3-1 to Portugal in a World Cup qualifying playoff that confirmed that they will not be at the finals, though Yilmaz has a highly accomplished international career to look back on nevertheless.
Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu paid tribute to the captain with a post on his Instagram account.
He captioned the post, “Thanks for everything Kral”
