Inter defender Federico Dimarco feels that the team can only take their season one match at a time.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the 24-year-old emphasized that the Nerazzurri are not dwelling too much on the future or getting ahead of themselves.

Inter have seven matches left and a great opportunity to go on and win the Scudetto for the second season on the bounce if they take close to maximum points from them.

The games that they have will not be easy, however, and even the teams in midtable and facing relegation have proven that they are not as straightforward as they may look on paper in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri will be well aware that each match has the potential to have major Scudetto implications, but their focus remains on whatever the next match in front of them is, according to Dimarco.

“We approached the match very well, creating many opportunities,” he said of the team’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona yesterday evening.

“Unlike in some other matches, we managed to score straight away,” he added. “Obviously we have to continue to train, thinking one match at a time – in the end we’ll see where we finish.”
