Inter boss Simone Inzaghi already knows what the club expects from him when he takes charge of his second season at the club, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, a new contract for the Inter boss on improved terms is merely a formality at this point and will likely be announced at the end of the season, regardless of whether Inter do win the Scudetto or not.

Inter are thrilled with what the former Lazio coach has been able to deliver considering the financial situation that led to the sales of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi in the summer and the situation around Christian Eriksen’s departure.

Simone Inzaghi’s main targets will be the same as they were this season because of the continued financial strain that he must work within. He must finish in the top four and get into the latter stages of the Champions League to ensure more money comes into the club.
