Inter’s next two games against Empoli and Juventus could see the club lose a possible €7 million if results do not go the Nerazzurri’s way, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, Friday evening’s match against Empoli and Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final against Juventus will prove to be the defining moments of Inter’s first season under Simone Inzaghi.

If Inter can win the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana, it would be an extremely successful campaign for the Nerazzurri. If they fail to win the two remaining trophies, it will cost €7m in prize money.

The Serie A winner will earn €17.6m whereas second place gets €14.8m. The Coppa Italia winner will get an additional €4.5m on top of the €3m they already get for reaching the final.

Also, winning at least one tournament earns you a place in the next Supercoppa Italiana final where the winner will receive around €1.8m.
