Inter President Steven Zhang has given clear assurances that there will not be a surprise sale of a big name player at the Nerazzurri this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri President has guaranteed that there will not be another situation like the shock sale of Romelu Lukaku last summer.

Lukaku’s sale to Chelsea during last summer’s transfer window sent shockwaves through the Nerazzurri, with the departure having been unexpected partly because of the fact that Achraf Hakimi had already been sold in the window.

As with last summer, the sale of a big name player is a distinct possibility that the club are prepared for, but the departures of two key players would be a big hit to the competitiveness of the team.

Accordingly, Zhang has made clear that the owners will not sanction the sale of more than one big name player.
