Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has emphasized to his squad not to be adversely affected by the pressure in this evening’s Coppa Italia final against Juventus.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach has told his players to see the match as an opportunity rather than feel the burden of having to win.
The Nerazzurri have a chance to win the Coppa Italia for the first time in eleven seasons, and the coach senses the opportunity but also doesn’t want the players to feel like if they do not win it will ruin the work already done this campaign.
For Inzaghi, even without either the Coppa Italia or the Scudetto, the team have plenty to be proud of after he took more points than any other Nerazzurri manager has in their first season, and led the team to this final as well as the Champions League round of sixteen.
This was the theme of the coach’s talk to his team ahead of the final against the Bianconeri, as he wants them to play with their heads up and approach the final mentally free so that they can play at their best.
