Alessandro Bastoni is expected to start for Inter against Cagliari after missing recent fixtures through injury, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Italian defender is gearing up to start the match in Sardinia having recovered from the injury that kept him out of the last four Inter matches.
That is a big boost for Simone Inzaghi and Inter’s title hopes heading into the final two games of the campaign. Federico Dimarco will drop to the bench.
The coach went with Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko in attack against Juventus on Wednesday night but he is expecting to use Joaquin Correa instead of the Bosnian on Sunday evening from the start.
Dutch wing back Denzel Dumfries is also expected to return to the starting eleven having been left on the bench for Matteo Darmian in the Coppa Italia final.
