A return to Inter for Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku seems impossible despite how much he wants it to happen, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Belgian forward is extremely regretful about his decision to leave Inter last summer and join Chelsea.

The season has not worked out at all as he hoped and he does not have a good relationship with German coach Thomas Tuchel.

He really wants to head back to Milan and play for Inter again where he won the Scudetto under Antonio Conte.

It is very hard to envisage it happening as Chelsea paid €115 million for him and when bonuses are included, he is on a salary of €15 million. The London club are not interested in loaning him back to the Nerazzurri.

Nothing can ever be fully written off in the transfer market but is a move that is unlikely to happen.
