Henrikh Mkhitaryan is one step away from completing a move to Inter on a free transfer from Roma.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 33-year-old will son be a Nerazzurri player after making the decision to join on a free transfer rather than staying at Roma.

The Giallorossi have made a late push to keep Mkhitaryan in the team past the end of his month when his current contract runs out, but the Armenian has been convinced by Inter.

The Nerazzurri quickly worked to identify Mkhitaryan as a significant opportunity on a free transfer, with players at the end of their contracts an important part of their transfer strategy outlined for the summer window.

The 33-year-old has yet to put pen to paper on his deal with Inter, but this should come shortly with everything in place for them to make the move official.
