Former Torino and Lazio defender Roberto Cravero believes that Inter-linked defender Bremer will be a player who improves the defense of any team that he signs for this summer.

Speaking to Milan-based newsppaer Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, Cravero gave his assessment of the 25-year-old who was named as the best defender in Serie A for the season just gone.

Inter have made Bremer a priority target for this summer for some time, and the Brazilian showed why this is the case for much of the season with his form at the heart of the Granata’s defense.

The 25-year-old faced up against top strikers in the division such as Ciro Immobile, Tammy Abraham, Victor Osimhen, Lautaro Martinez, and Dusan Vlahovic, and never seemed to allow any of them to perform well or impact the game as they are used to doing.

Cravero said of the defender that “The award for best defender in Serie A is well-deserved, because he has shown that he can be dominant against all the best forwards.”

“No striker has ever gotten the better of him,” he added, “he deserves the spotlight for his conduct and attitude as well. Right now he’s the best defender in the Italian league – if he leaves then whoever gets him will be making a great signing.”
