Inter are close to coming to a full agreement with midfielder Arturo Vidal on a termination of his contract with the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that a mutual agreement is close at hand for the 35-year-old to leave the Nerazzurri this summer.

Vidal has long been expected to leave the Nerazzurri during the summer transfer window, with the club aiming to get his wages off of their books given the directive to cut down on wage spending during the window.

The Nerazzurri have the option of not renewing his deal for one more season per a clause in his existing contract, although they will have to pay out a severance of €4 million in order to do so.

Talks have been ongoing with the midfielder and his entourage on a mutual termination of his contract, and this looks to be close to happening.
