Inter President Steven Zhang To Return To Milan This Weekend & Announce Extension Of Simone Inzaghi’s Contract, Italian Media Report

Inter President Steven Zhang is set to be back in Milan for this weekend, where he will make the extension of coach Simone Inzaghi’s contract official.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the President will be back in Italy soon and that one of the first orders of business will be officially announcing the new deal for Inzaghi.

Zhang departed Italy for China last month, having been in the country since mid-January, where he was close with the team throughout the season and also attended to matters of business along with the club directors and Inzaghi.

The President left after having held the first major meeting the set out the strategy for the transfer window at the end of last month, but he is already set to return with the team’s transfer business really starting to heat up.

Zhang had already gotten an agreement with Inzaghi on a new deal all but done before he left Italy, and so little will need to be done to make it official when he returns.
