Inter’s friendly match against Monaco will not be played in Basel despite the assumption being that it would, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, it is not yet known what venue Inter’s match against Monaco will be played at on July 16.

Inter have got a series of relatively low-profile matches lined up to get in shape for the 2022/23 season. They will start with the traditional friendly against Lugano before then playing against Swiss side FC Basel, French side Lens, and Monaco.

Inter will be hoping that they have a number of new players in the squad ready for those matches such as Romelu Lukaku, Andre Onana, Raoul Bellanova, Kristjan Asllani and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Paulo Dybala seems like he may not get his wish of being in the Nerazzurri squad for the start of pre-season after the transfer has stalled slightly.
