Atalanta could be in a position to sign Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti if a deal for midfielder Matteo Pessina to Monza goes through.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that a sale of Pessina could mean that La Dea are able to make an offer which brings them close to Inter’s asking price for Pinamonti.

Pinamonti is a key target for Atalanta, but so far the Lombards have not made an offer which is anywhere near what the Nerazzurri value the striker at.

However, talks are ongoing to sell midfielder Pessina to newly-promoted Monza, and if this sale were to take place then La Dea’s situation would change.

In the event that Pessina is sold, Atalanta would be ready to make an offer of €15 million for Pinamonti, and while this would not yet reach Inter’s €20 million asking price, an agreement could be found somewhere in the middle.
