Inter are willing to raise their offer of severance pay to Alexis Sanchez to 65% of the wages that he is owed on the final year of his contract at the club.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who report that the Nerazzurri are pushing to get the Chilean’s departure wrapped up and ready to offer him a significant chunk of the salary that he is owed in order to see the back of him.

Sanchez is not in the plans at Inter for next season, and a summer exit has been expected for some time as the club have made their intentions clear.

However, the situation has dragged on as the 33-year-old has been lukewarm about any possible destinations for when he leaves the Nerazzurri.

Sanchez is Inter’s highest earner following the departure of Arturo Vidal, and the club are willing to go some way towards paying out what he’s owed in order to agree an end to his time in Milan.
