Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is already beginning to show evidence of a new understanding with his new teammates as well as with coach Simone Inzaghi in preseason performances.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who suggest that the 29-year-old is starting to look like he has sharpness and real chemistry within the Nerazzurri’s current setup.

Lukaku only spent a single season away from Inter, but a lot changed during that time, with Inzaghi replacing Antonio Conte on the bench whilst the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Hakan Calhanoglu, Edin Dzeko, and Joaquin Correa were signed and Federico Dimarco began a first-team regular after returning from loan with Hellas Verona.

Lukaku has yet to have the chance to show how he’ll play alongside Dzeko or Correa, but he seems to already have a real sense of how to latch onto the deliveries of Dumfries and Dimarco, and an overall high comfort level with leading the line in Inzaghi’s system.
