Inter’s training match against Serie C side Pergolettese today will be used as an opportunity to give minutes to players coming back from injury, namely Milan Skriniar, Roberto Gagliardini, and Robin Gosens.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi plans to give everyone in his squad plenty of time on the pitch and will focus on the recent injury returnees.

Inzaghi has deemed the five official friendlies scheduled in preseason to be not enough to get the team back to full fitness ahead of the upcoming season, and so more training matches have been planned to get more minutes in players’ legs with the start of the season little over a week away.

Today’s training match is against Pergolettese, and everyone will get a run-out but the focus will be on making sure that the trio of Skriniar, Gagliardini, and Gosens have a good opportunity to find their rhythm after injury setbacks that interrupted their physical preparations.
