Simone Inzaghi is doing all that he can to help Robin Gosens prepare on a mental level for the new campaign, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the German wingback seems to have developed a fear of the powerful sprinting that became such a key part of his game whilst he was at Atalanta.

He suffered a serious hamstring injury last season which led to him missing over half of the campaign. He joined Inter in January with the injury and only recovered for the last few games of the campaign.

This season though, Inter need him as the starting wingback on the left and whilst he has the ability, another recent muscle injury may have shaken the confidence that he has in his body.

That is why Simone Inzaghi is having to take a more psychological approach to Robin Gosens ahead of the new campaign.
