Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has made clear to President Steven Zhang that defender Milan Skriniar and wingback Denzel Dumfries cannot be sold this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach personally reiterated to Zhang that the time has passed when sales of key players from the starting eleven could be feasible.

Inzaghi and the rest of Inter’s coaching staff and squad continue to wait anxiously to see what happens in the last few weeks of the transfer window, but his stance is certain.

The former Lazio coach does not feel that it would be feasible to sell either of Dumfries or Skriniar now without seriously compromising plans for the season and rendering the team less competitive.

Inzaghi spoke with Zhang personally yesterday, with the President having observed the team’s training session and later had dinner with the coach and directors, and stressed the importance of keeping hold of all the most important players in the team.
