Inter are hoping that Borussia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji will be cheaper towards the end of the transfer window, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Nerazzurri are certainly still in the frame for Manuel Akanji but they think that their patience may be rewarded later in the window.

He is out of contract in 2023 but until this point, it has seemed that Borussia Dortmund will be asking for €15-20 million to let him go.

Given he seems to be completely out of the picture with the Bundesliga side right now and he has a desire to join Inter, his price could drop at the end of the summer as the Germans try to avoid losing him for free next summer.

The other option in the frame is Jean-Clair Todibo from OGC Nice but he could cost over €20 million.
