Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is likely to be fit again in time for Inter’s Serie A clash with Spezia on Saturday.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 33-year-old is back in training and that there is optimism that his recovery will be fast enough for him to be included in the squad to face Spezia over the weekend.

D’Ambrosio was the one Inter player absent through injury in the Nerazzurri’s first Serie A match of the season away to Lecce, with the 33-year-old having missed out in the match through a muscle problem.

However, the former Torino defender is already back in training and his condition is being assessed to determine whether he will already be ready to play in Saturday’s match.

The next couple days will be decisive in determining D’Ambrosio’s fitness, but if the signals are positive then Simone Inzaghi could have a complete squad to call upon for Saturday’s match.
