Chelsea could open up to allowing defender Trevoh Chalobah to join Inter on a dry loan without a fee as part of the deal.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Blues would not necessarily demand that a fee be attached to a loan deal for Chalobah who the Nerazzurri continue to look at as an option for their final defensive signing of the summer.

Inter’s aim is to spend as little as possible in their search for one more defender to reinforce the depth of their backline before the transfer window slams shut, and so a loan move has always been one avenue they have been considering.

Given that Chelsea do not want to lose control of Chalobah’s future, they would likely be more inclined to send him out on loan for the season rather than selling the 23-year-old permanently, which would suit Inter just fine.

Moreover, if the Premier League giants were to show a willingness to agree a loan deal without a fee, the Englishman could be even more tempting for the Nerazzurri.
