Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could decide to start Roberto Gagliardini against Lazio in order to combat the physicality of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, there could be a surprise inclusion in the Inter starting eleven for the match against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday night.

In the two games against the Biancocelesti, Simone Inzaghi used Roberto Gagliardini in the midfield as he is the most physical of Inter’s midfielders.

This was to try and limit Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s involvement in the match. Inter were beaten by Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico last season.

They won the return fixture at the San Siro 2-1 though when the Italian midfielder was used again in place of Hakan Calhanoglu. There is a chance that Simone Inzaghi will try to use the same tactic again to get the better of Maurizio Sarri’s team.
