Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella has been named as his team’s outstanding player across the board in yesterday evening’s solid 3-1 victory over Cremonese in Serie A.
This is highlighted by Italian news outlet L’Interista, who note that the 25-year-old was unanimously ranked as the Nerazzurri’s best player in the ratings for the match across Italian media, and noted that his display came just in time for the derby against AC Milan on Saturday.
Inter needed some inspiration to propel themselves to a win against Cremonese after a difficult loss at the hands of Lazio on Friday, and it came from a player who had yet to show his best this season.
Barella finally showed the full range of his abilities with his display against the newly-promoted team, with a goal, an assist, and an overall eye-catching performance at the heart of everything positive the Nerazzurri did.
Now the former Cagliari midfielder will head into the Milan derby in a confident mood, and hoping that he can play at a similar level against the Rossoneri.
All of the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, and L’Interista awarded Barella a score of 7.5/10, whilst TuttoMercatoWeb went even higher, to 8/10.
