Inter are set to get a share of a jackpot worth over €2 billion thanks to being a part of the UEFA Champions League this season, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Il Sole 24 Ore, the total prize money for the European competitions this season is €2.7 billion and of that, 75% is expected to be going to the teams in the Champions League which leaves the rest for those in the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.

30% of the money is based on the ten-year performance co-efficient and 25% is based on participation in the tournament.

30% comes down to the results on the pitch and another 15% is linked to the market pool. For each match won in the group stage, 2.8 million will be awarded (930,000 for a draw).

Qualifying for the round of 16 is worth 9.6 million, the quarter-finals 10.6 million, the semi-finals 12.5 million and the final 15.5 million. Victory will be worth an extra bonus of 4.5 million.
