Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi wants to see a significant reaction from his team in this evening’s Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich after some recent high profile losses.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the coach has made clear to his players that they must give an answer to him on the pitch after Serie A defeats at the hands of Lazio and city rivals AC Milan.

Inter’s start to the campaign has not been a disaster, but losses to the Biancocelesti and the Rossoneri have clearly exposed some early difficulties with defensive balance and concentration on the pitch for Inzaghi’s men.

The coach has not held back in his assessments of the faults that he’s seen in speaking to his players in training, and is ready to make changes to his starting eleven and try to put pressure on everyone to put these struggles behind them.

Now, in a match of potentially decisive importance to the season and against extremely formidable opposition, Inzaghi wants to see his team provide a response to everything he’s tried to instill in them after losses to Milan and Lazio.
