Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that it is not yet clear the timeline on which Inter owners Suning will sell the club, but that things are already in motion and that there are parties interested in purchasing the club.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TeleLombardi, Biasin explained his understanding of the situation with the Nerazzurri owners, and reaffirmed his belief that they are ready to sell the club even if it is yet to be seen when this will happen.

Reports have emerged in the last week or so that Suning are ready to sell Inter, whilst some particular groups and funds have been named as prospective buyers, although so far nothing concrete has emerged.

According to Biasin, however, the interest is real from a number of different parties, whilst the current owners are serious about trying to reach a deal at some point in the foreseeable future.

“The thing that seems clear to me as that Inter are up for sale if an offer worth €1.2 billion arrives,” he said, “whereas up to a little while ago we were talking more about a partner and the Zhang family were absolutely willing to stay on, now they’re open to a sale.”

“They realized that going in this way is complicated,” he continued, “and then the loan with Oaktree will also come due – it’s essential to find a solution that can satisfy everyone.”

He noted that “It isn’t easy, it doesn’t mean that there’s a queue of investors who want to buy Inter, but there has been an important change.”

“I don’t know the timing, but if a major offer arrives, Zhang will take it into consideration,” he added, “there are probably already interested parties, but on this I take a step back.”
