Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is still largely undecided on the team that he will put out to face Udinese in tomorrow’s Serie A clash at the Stadio Friuli.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the coach will leave many of his decisions for tomorrow’s match until not long before kick-off.

Captain Samir Handanovic is set to return to the starting eleven after having been left out in favour of Andre Onana in the Nerazzurri’s Champions League group stage win over Viktoria Plzen during the week, whilst striker Lautaro Martinez should also be back.

Apart from these relative certainties, however, Inzaghi is otherwise determined to pick his team on form, merit, and to suit his gameplan for the opponent, rather than having a team set well in advance.

This is consistent with how the coach has approached the past few matches, rotating the squad heavily from match to match in view of the number of fixtures piling up, and so there are many doubts for tomorrow’s match.

Francesco Acerbi could be right back in the team after making his debut against Plzen, or Stefan de Vrij could be back in the eleven, whilst on the wings all of Federico Dimarco, Robin Gosens, Denzel Dumfries, and Matteo Darmian are in contention to start.
