Edin Dzeko could be the man to pair Romelu Lukaku in attack for Inter in their first match back from the international break against Roma.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Bosnian could be in the starting eleven if Lautaro Martinez is not ready to play from the start following his return from international duty.

Lukaku is virtually certain to start when the Nerazzurri host Roma for their first Serie A match back from the break, as the Belgian has been working throughout the break to get back to full fitness.

However, there is no guarantee that Martinez will be fully ready to start alongside him, as the Argentine will only return from the break with less than two days to prepare, and so it could be Dzeko who is given the nod alongside Lukaku from the start instead of him.
