Romelu Lukaku is set to miss Inter’s clash with AS Roma on Saturday as he has not recovered in time from his thigh injury, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia, via FCInternews, the Belgian forward will not be fit enough to take the field on Saturday evening at San Siro when Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma side travel north.

He is going to continue doing a separate training program to the rest of the Inter squad as he seeks to get fit as soon as possible to help the team having missed a handful of recent games already since his return from Chelsea.

He is expected to also be out of the Barcelona match which is on Tuesday next week at San Siro in the UEFA Champions League group stage. This means that Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez are expected to lead the line against AS Roma.
