Inter’s character on the pitch to beat Sassuolo yesterday looked like clear evidence that coach Simone Inzaghi continues to have control over the locker room.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, whoa argue that the 46-year-old showed all his skill at managing the locker room dynamics to get his team to produce the performance that they did.

Some doubts were raised about Inzaghi’s suitability to marshal this Inter team based on their rocky start to the season, but they now appear to have come out on the other side of their early crisis.

Wins against Barcelona and Sassuolo have needed committed and characterful displays from the Nerazzurri, and that is exactly what the team has produced.

Inter kept their defensive shape and never let their heads drop against a Sassuolo team who can cause anyone problems on their day.

In the view of the Corriere dello Sport, Inzaghi deserves a lot of credit for getting the team in the kind of shape mentally to sustain that over ninety minutes.
