Inter striker Edin Dzeko gave his team more than just his two goals in yesterday’s Serie A win over Sassuolo.

This was the assessment across Italian media, with L’Interista highlighting the positive scores that the 36-year-old received across the board for his display in the player ratings for the match.

Dzeko’s biggest contribution to his team was undoubtedly his match-winning brace in their 2-1 win over Sassuolo, but this only scratched the surface of the Bosnian’s performance.

The former Roma striker never stopped fighting in the physical battle, and even when things didn’t quite come off in the final third he would not hesitate to try again.

The 36-year-old showed his experience in the form of leadership on the pitch with his teammates as well.

All of the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, L’Interista, and TuttoMercatoWeb felt that Dzeko’s performance was worth of a very good 7.5/10 score, whilst the Gazzetta dello Sport went all the way to 8/10 in their assessment.
