AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali pointed out that his club’s Scudetto victory was easier after their win against Inter in the derby last season.

AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali pointed out in an interview with ICON magazine, that his club’s Scudetto victory was easier after their Milan derby victory against Inter last season in the Serie A.

“After the second derby of the Serie A season, we knew that it would be a different year,” said the Rossoneri midfielder.

“We were there based on out merits and that we could not waste any games played. After [the derby against Inter], it was easier,” concluded Tonali.

The Rossoneri midfielder was instrumental last season, as he made 36 appearances in Serie A and contributed 5 goals and 3 assists.

Sandro Tonali has carried his good form into this season, as he has made 13 appearances in all competitions. He has scored one goal and provided one assist so far this season.

His only goal of the season came in AC Milan’s most recent Serie A game on Sunday, where he scored the game-winning goal that secured 3 points for the Rossoneri.
