Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani wants a loan move away in the January transfer window in search of more playing time.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the 20-year-old will demand a move to a different club for the rest of the season so that he can play more frequently and continue to develop.

Asllani was signed in the summer as the main backup to Marcelo Brozovic as Inter’s regista, but so far has seen relatively little time on the pitch.

When Brozovic was fit, this was perhaps not surprising, but even with the Croat having been injured since the September international break, Asllani has started only once for Inter.

The Albanian started Inter’s Serie A clash with Roma after the break, but in all of the subsequent matches it has been Hakan Calhanoglu playing the deepest role in midfield.

With Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan playing either side of Calhanoglu, this has meant there’s been little opportunity for Asllani to play.

With Brozovic returning within the next few weeks, it does not seem very likely that the amount of playing time will increase for Asllani.

Accordingly, according to the report of TuttoMercatoWeb, the 20-year-old will ask for loan move away in January.
