Inter are looking at Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao as a possible replacement if Milan Skriniar leaves the club.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 26-year-old would be among the names that the Nerazzurri would consider in the event that Skriniar does not extend his current contract.

Inter are aiming to extend Skriniar’s current deal past the end of June 2023, but they are also preparing for the possibility that he could leave.

Becao is a player who has proven himself in Serie A in recent seasons, and the Brazilian is also stylistically similar to Skriniar, capable of playing on the right of a back three adeptly.

The 26-year-old’s current contract with Udinese is set to run out at the end of June 2024, which could make negotiating with the Friulani more straightforward.

However, Udinese would not likely be willing to let Becao leave during the January transfer window, if Inter decide to sell Skriniar then.

Meanwhile, according to the Gazzetta, the likes of Sevilla’s Tanguy Nianzou and Valencia’s Mouctar Diakhaby are two other names on the Nerazzurri’s list of potential Skriniar replacements.
