Inter achieved something hugely important in the context of their season by booking their place in the Champions League round of sixteen.
The club have now managed to reach the knockout rounds of Europe’s top competition for the second consecutive season.
The Nerazzurri were expected to have a very tough time qualifying for the knockouts from a group containing the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona, but they have done so.
Vice-President Javier Zanetti celebrated the accomplishment in a post on his Instagram account.
He captioned the post, “Pushing forward. We knew that it would be a difficult group, but we’re Inter!”
