Australia-based stadium management company ASM Global held a meeting with Milan Mayor Beppe Sala today where they presented their proposal to renovate and modernize the San Siro instead of tearing the stadium down.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, via FCInterNews, who report that the company outlined their plans to keep the San Siro standing instead of Inter and AC Milan’s plans to demolish the stadium to make way for a new structure.
Inter and Milan are hoping that they can receive approval to demolish the San Siro in order to build a new stadium in the city of Milan.
However, there has been significant opposition to this aspect of the clubs’ plans, and calls for the existing stadium to be renovated instead.
In this sense, ASM Global have submitted a concrete proposal, presenting it to Milan Mayor Sala in a meeting today where they discussed the possibility of their plans.
