Inter forward Joaquin Correa has felt some pain in his knee following his participation in the Argentine national team’s friendly match against the United Arab Emirates yesterday evening.

This according to Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old experienced some discomfort in his knee after his appearance as a substitute in the World Cup warm-up friendly.

Correa came off the bench at halftime in the Albiceleste’s warm-up friendly match against the UAE.

As TyC Sports reports, with further confirmation coming from Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the Inter forward has been feeling some pain in the aftermath of the appearance.

Correa’s Nerazzurri teammate Lautaro Martinez was left out of the matchday squad for yesterday’s clash with the UAE, as a precaution as the 25-year-old was not at his best physically in the buildup to the match.

Given that the likes of Paulo Dybala, Papu Gomez, and Nico Gonzalez have also been dealing with fitness issues in the leadup to the World Cup, the forward positions could be troublesome for the Albiceleste.
