Inter striker Romelu Lukaku could decide to cut his post-World Cup holidays short in order to get in as much time on the training pitch as possible with Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Belgian is thinking about making an early return so that he can get back up to speed with his teammates and reach full match-fitness.

Lukaku’s fitness is still very much up in the air, although the 29-year-old is expected to play a part at some point for the Belgian national team at the ongoing World Cup.

The striker will want to be at his best over the remainder of the club season when the tournament finishes.

To this end, Lukaku is ready to keep his break after Belgium’s World Cup campaign ends to a minimum, as he wants to use all the time that he can to get fit for the rest of the season.
