Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is likely to be fit enough to appear as a substitute in the Belgian national team’s second group stage match of the World Cup against Morocco.

This according to Belgian news outlet HLN, via FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old should be ready to play from the bench on Sunday, but not likely to be included in the starting eleven.

Lukaku is continuing his recovery process from the thigh injury that kept the striker out of the large part of Inter’s season so far in addition to Belgium’s group stage opener against Canada on Wednesday.

The Nerazzurri striker has been hoping to play a part in the group stage in Qatar, and according to HLN the feeling is that he should be ready soon.

Lukaku is back in full training with the rest of the Belgium squad, and while he will not necessarily be fully fit to start against Morocco, there is optimism that he can play from the bench.
