Inter striker Lautaro Martinez took to Social Media after helping Argentina get their first points of the 2022 World Cup with a 2-0 win over Mexico on Saturday.
The Copa America champions recovered from their shock 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia by securing victory, courtesy of goals from Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernandez in the second half.
Despite failing to impress in the game and being substituted after the hour mark at the Luhail Stadium, Martinez used Instagram to post photos of the match, with the caption: “The result we wanted. It’s time to rest and think about what’s coming. We’re positive, I trust this group, this team.”
